Lights Wins At The Maggies

The Tamarack Publishing team attended the 64th annual Western Publishing Association’s Maggie Awards in Los Angeles on May 1, 2015 to win honors of Best Tablet Publication and Best Cover of a Tablet Publication for Lights Magazine.

More than 300 people from all areas of publishing were on hand to honor the “West’s Best” in both print and electronic publishing. An enthusiastic audience cheered as winners accepted their awards and later watched the MAGGIE trademark “Montage of Winners” video at the close of the banquet.

Considered to be the most prestigious award in the publishing industry, the 2015 MAGGIES drew more than 1,200 entries from 24 states west of the Mississippi River.

Lights has recently also won Best of Show in Dallas and 4 Silvers and 1 Gold at the Regional Level of the AAF Addy Awards.

Lights also has made the cut as finalist in two categories in DSVC’s 2015 Dallas Show to be held on June 1st for Consumer Digital Magazine and Best Interactive News App.

Tamarack Publishing Nabs 4 Gold ADDYs, Plus ‘Best of Show,’ for Lights Magazine


DALLAS (March 3, 2015) – Tamarack Publishing, the publishing and interactive arm of Corporate Magic Inc., won four Gold ADDY Awards, along with “Best of Show” honors, at the 53rd Annual AAF Dallas American Advertising Awards. The ceremony was held on Feb. 26.

Each of the awards was claimed by Lights magazine, a digital publication unveiled in January by Dallas-based Tamarack Publishing and Corporate Magic. Tamarack is an independent publishing company formed by Jim Kirk Productions, and Lights is its first product.
